Day 332: Gabrielle Koza

Gabrielle Koza is a ceramic artist based in Tempe, Arizona.

Artist Statement:
Working with clay helps me feel grounded and connected to the earth. I am constantly exploring the balance between beauty and function in ceramic forms. I love the surprises that come with the transformation of materials from firing. It's not about complete control. Besides being intriguing to the eye, a well made ceramic piece begs to be picked up, held, and used. There's a lot of serendipity that affects the final result. The combination of clay, glaze, firing, and many small variables makes each piece unique.

  1. Very interesting combination of colors. Your floral clusters on each page are nicely designed. Thanks for posting this project!
