I live on the outskirts of Phoenix and everyday I make the one hour journey into town to get to work.
My passion for photography and for photographing the city usually has me leaving earlier than
necessary so that I can capture the interesting things I encounter along the way. After work, I do the
same, and almost always find myself taking the long way home. I strive to capture the intricacies of this
amazing place and I try to record the variety and the details of the inhabitants who live here. I'm always
looking, always hunting, always hoping to find that moment, that "one-second-in-time", that disappears
forever the instant I release my shutter yet leaves an image that opens doors into a whole new world. I
drive each day with my camera sitting ready, either on my lap or on the front passenger seat, but
always within arm's reach. I want to be ready to capture the fleeting things - the overlooked, the
forgotten, the unnoticed, the unwanted and the unordinary - all the beautiful things that live (however
briefly) inside the ordinary.
