Day 138: Wendy Willis

Sea life is affected by climate change which is attributed largely to the increased level of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by our use of fossil fuels.  But we affect sea life in many other ways.  Trawling, coral mining, gill nets, pesticide contamination, overfishing and many other human-created threats are endangering the very creatures that sustain us.  The beauty of the undersea world could be damaged irreparably by our actions if we don’t change our ways.  My newest body of work focuses on a view of what’s at stake.
