Day 94:Katie Lin Murchison

Katie is an up and coming artist in the downtown Phoenix area. With mediums ranging from acrylic to spray paints, her art is quite diverse. Her inspiration comes from artists such as Van Gogh, Lichtenstein, Munch, and Warhol.

Born in a small town bordering New Orleans, Katie has always had a flair for the arts. She was raised in a home that embodied both Cajun French and Irish culture. Katie comes from a family rich in artistic abilities- sculptors, charcoal artists, whittlers, and painters.

Her art is innovative and ambitious. She stays challenged through hand-crafting stencils and commissioning work. Katie believes each of her pieces to be an extension of herself, so each piece has its own personality and uniqueness.
