Day 111: Annette Smith

Artist Statement: I work in several mediums, charcoal, watercolor, and oil, but am especially drawn to watercolor. I enjoy the spontaneity and uncontrolled chaos of the medium. When painting, I seek to capture the essence of my subject whether portrait, floral, or figure. Watercolor helps me achieve this by use of gestural line, and fresh, unexpected color.
